The TRANCO Core Winding Machine automatically produces wound cores using a continuous feed process.  As a result, the wound core becomes more desirable to produce than the less efficient "cut and stack" core.

With adjustable machine settings customers are able to produce a wide variety of consistent gap patterns to their desired specifications.

    TRANCO Model: SD-1036 (Motion Control model)



    This SD-1036 model offers a fast and continuous shearing process, electronically adjustable gap patterns and the ability to quickly change core sizes and their specification. The wound core is more efficient to produce than the "cut and stack" core. Replacement parts are readily available from Tranco Ltd.

    New enhancements are always designed to retro-fit options. The Tranco machines are completely assembled and rest on the factory floor which makes for easier installation.

    The SD-1036 can produce a core with a maximum 10" inside diameter and a 36" outside diameter.

    TRANCO Model: SDH-1452



    The SDH-1452 offers the same features and abilities as the SD-1036 but but can produce a core with a maximum 14" inside diameter and maximum outside diameter of 52". The SDH-1452 can also produce a core up to 1300lbs.

The Process

Un-Coiler
-Feeds the strip steel to the Tranco core winder.
Tranco Core Winder
-Automatically shears the steel and winds the core
Core Former
-Presses the wound core into a rectangular shape.
Annealing Furnace
-Final stage; Maintains core shape.
